Hi! I’ve got a favor to ask. If you’ve ever felt like you’re not magic, special, beautiful, “the ideal” or basically thought anything bad about yourself, then I’d really, really like to ask you to do something for me.

Would you send me a photo of yourself? I’d like to paint you. You see, I’ve started to realize that a lot of people in this world don’t know that they’re magic.

But I know the truth. You, my friend, are a part of the magic in this world. And I don’t you see it. But I do… And I’d like to show you what I see.

How it works:

• Send me a photo of yourself, or a few different ones in an email (tiffanydaeart@gmail.com)
• Try and make sure the photo is good quality.
• Try and take something that feels like you (if this idea is too woo woo that’s fine too).
• Try and not use too much light – blown out photos don’t make for great paintings. Shadows are good!
• Non smiling photos are best, I want the photos that really look like you, not that ones you pose for that make you look perfect. This means definitely no wedding photos please.

Please note that by sending me these photos you’re giving me all the rights to the painting, free use of the image, the right to change and add things I want to the photo, and also to post/publish it wherever I want. You’re giving me total control basically, so please be sure this is what you want. I’d love for you to share the finished piece, but please always credit me. I have a release for you to sign and send back to me.

I also may not be able to paint every photo I receive, but I really really want to so I’ll try my best! This submission is open to anyone so please help me get the word out. If you feel comfortable I’d love for you to tell me about yourself with your submission. My goal is to make this project into a book that features the stories and feelings people have about themselves along side the paintings. The paintings themselves are oil on panel and are for sale, reach out if you’d like to purchase one.
